The 7th war bond drive

Grandpa Gene was going through a magazine someone gave him on WW II and Iwo Jima. He came across an interesting tid-bit. The men who participated in the raising of the flag on Iwo Jima came home, were celebrated and then went around the country to raise financial support for the war through the purcahse of the war bonds. This was the 7th war bond drive and is the same drive that Grandma Dot participated in the famous "Vote for Dotty" pin-up.
