Angie this is crazy…I’ve been in that exact same sling shot twice! It’s at the cabin of a member of my stake presidency from when I was at BYU. The cabin is up Hobble Creek Canyon, just a little south of Provo. I can’t remember the owner’s name…he’s extremely wealthy and has a beautiful spread up in the mountains. Every year, he’d have the whole stake come up for a big party…dancing, food, sling shot, games, etc. When he has big party’s, he dispenses with the ATV and just puts 10 different people on the line to pull you back and let you go.
I actually brought my buddy Mohamed (that I think you met when he came out to Sacramento with me) up there to try it once and I have a couple pretty good pictures of him somewhere. That would be a blast to do out at our house sometime.
That is the most crazy thing I have ever seen. It looks like fun but oh my. The pressure on the sling shot would have to be right or you would launch the person.
