Interresting Epitaphs

John and I have been in Hartford, Connecticut the last few days. We have quite a few ancestors from this area. I'd like to bring Mom back for a week or so when the weather is better and do some serious research. I did manage to spend a few minutes in a nearby cemetery yesterday, and although I didn't find any relatives I did see a couple of interesting epitaphs:

Praises in stone are titles vainly spent.
A man's good name is his best monument.

Behold and see as you pass by,
As you are now once was I.
As I am now you must be.
Prepare to die and follow me.

Read these and reflect upon them. They are clever, but also have some meaning for each of us.
