Ovarian Cancer Awareness

As some of you know, I spent Friday helping set up and Saturday as a "shop girl" at a huge yarn and fabric sale. Kay Kane's group organized it. Women donated fabric and yarn they no longer wanted or could no longer use in March, dropping off at certain fabric shops. The goodies were organized and then sold at the Methodist Church (where some of you went to preschool)--in many cases, back to the women who donated it--or to their friends. All fabric was $2.00 a yard. Well we raised just under $17,000. All volunteer! All profit! The church had a bake sale in the kitchen to raise money for themselves. We had to pay for the janitor but that was all.

Ovarian Cancer is a really big threat to women of all ages. The symptoms are subtle and often overlooked. Kay is in remission right now but her prognosis is not good. Be Aware!
Love you all, MOM
