Gebo, Wyoming

Your grandmother, Esther, was born in Gebo, Wyoming. It was a coal mining town. Today it is a place where there is some off road driving. These are the remaining walls of the managers homes on the ridge. The rest of the town was down the hill to the rleft. The buildings were wood. They are gone. Grandma Jensen ran a boarding house and did laundry after her husband, Ben Borbey, died.

Grandma's Grape Juice

I've been meaning to put these up for a while. This is from our last visit. This is how Grandma painstakingly makes all that grape juice we like to gulp down.

First you cut the grapes off the vines
Then you snip them off into individual little grapes
Boil and sanitize all the lids and jars
Then you stick all the grapes in the steamer and wait for the juice to come out!
Here it goes! When it comes, it comes out really quick.

You let it cool and make sure it seals well
This is what is left in the bottom of the steamer. The grapes minus the juice!

Thanks Mom/Grandma for the delicious juice. We love it!

Delta, UT Brasher Home
