Just completed reading Union 1812 - The Americans who Fought the Second War of Independence by A. J. Langguth. This is a very interesting history with insights about the adoption of the constitution, events leading up to the war of 1812, the war itself and the aftermath. It is very readable and informative.
Rather than a reiteration of dates and places, it focuses on the individuals and their interactions. I would highly recommend it to any who are interested in this period in our nation's history.
